From the valleys of South Wales that produced the black diamonds which fueled our merchant fleet, battle ships, power stations and kept the home fires burning comes the break through in alternative technology. The Isochromic Lithium Reclaimed Energy Project ( ILREG) 1988 As previously satiated ," An invention is as good as its commercial viability " this is one that did not pay off . If one is asked to describe what is the difference between a noise or sound , sound falls in the category of something that can be pleasing to the ear, such as music, whist noise can be unpleasant and in many cases intolerable and damage the human ear . During the manufacture of many forms of energy creating sources they dissipate either sound or noise which disappear into the abyss. The aim of this project is to harness these sound waves at source and covert them into electrical energy . To demonstrate the necessity for further research into the harnessing of dissipated sound energy the inventor has designed and constructed two prototype sound activated devices . Edwina This device is called after a well known MP. It is in the form of a waistcoat containing twenty shallow cylinders 3" in diameter 3/4" in depth. Each cylinder contains 120 reeds attached to its inside circumference, facing inwardly with a small magnet attached to the inner end of each reed. A coil of copper wire 1" inside diameter is situated at the center of each cylinder. As the reeds vibrate the magnets oscillate in and out of the coil generating an electrical current . The coils are coupled together in parallel circuit with their end terminals attached to a Isochrimic Lithium energy storage reservoir and then via a switch to a low voltage heating element.  South Wales Echo 23rd March 1989 The outer surface of the waste coat is made from a heat reflected material to prevent heat loss. Trials of the above produced encouraging results as sufficient electrical energy was produced to light 100 LED bulbs, further development has been delayed through lack of sponsor ship. Should the wearer omit any sound either by laughing, coughing or burping , the censors will vibrate there by generating electricity which is stored in a Isochromic Lithium energy storage reservoir and the heating element switched on when required. It is hoped that in the near future to improve its efficiency so this waste coat could be worn by an elderly person to combat hypothermia . " Having a sense of humor could be an advantage" . One day one could visualize a group of laughing senior citizens wearing the above waist coats coupled to the circuit of a electrically operated bus and going to the seaside for the price of a chuckle . The Yuppie Mobile This device consists of a harness which fits over the shoulders of a person supporting a parabolic reflector that collects sound waves and transmits them into sound sensors situated at the focal point of the reflector. The energy collected is stored in a Isochromic Lithium energy storage reservoir and when fully charged is capable of powering a propeller mounted at the rear of the harness thus propelling the wearer in a forward direction. To reduce resistance the Parabolic Reflector is removed prior to being airborne.  The intrepid aviator at the press launch. The instrumentation is simplicity itself , the Altimeter being a 6" high yellow luminous model of a person which when, it coincides with the height of an average person at ground level is at an altitude of 500 feet . Direction Finder, a luminous ball type compass, Port and Starboard Indicators, Speed recorded by using an Anemometer and Halogen Landing Light.
